The Wevel-Pyatt Virtual Photo Gallery

These photos were taken during one of Tim's visits to Arizona.

One time when visiting Arizona, Tim took the opportunity to drive a little north of Phoenix and see what there was.

The colours were quite striking.

There were also some interesting formations. Could make a good model of this with your mashed potatoes.

This, on the other hand, would be a bit more difficult. Again nice colours.

As you entered this area there was a huge increase in the number of places advertising local art due to the concentration of hippies in the area.

There are probably quite a lot of people who drive through, just to see the sights.

This area was not that far from the Grand Canyon, so Tim could have visited at this stage, but the extra hour drive seemed too much.

Another possible Close Encounters landing spot.

Last photo as the sun was disappearing.

For some reason, Tim found this amusing.

This is more obviously amusing. Can't see the forest for the trees? Trees, what trees?

To be fair, a photo taken from another angle reveals that there are in fact bushes. Although, the sign says "Entering Forest" just past said bushes.
